We were both saved by our mommy in very different and unique circumstances...
I (Bear) was just a barn kitten who was about to get eaten by the Big Tom Cat at my daddy's grandpa's farm, when my mommy saved me...I was only 4 days old. My mommy told my daddy they were taking me home and going to take care of me and bottle feed me...well now here we are almost 3 years later and I am the biggest, baddest cat you have ever seen.
I (Ozzie) was a rescue kitten from Maryland. My mommy and daddy happened to be living in Annapolis at the time, and my mommy was working as a Vet Tech while she was going to school to work on people. The rescue group brought me in to get all my shots and neutered so I could get adopted that weekend...well when the Doctor went to do my surgery he realized I was a cryptorchid...and could not neuter me...I would need a much more invasive surgery...so the lady that was going to adopt me did not want me anymore cause my surgery was going to be very expensive...so my mommy decided to bring me home, so that BearCat could have a brother and learn to act like a real cat.
Wow! Me and Mommy haven't been on here in a LONG time! A little update on me. I'm Grrreat! I have a little sister now. She's one and her name is Tilly. She LOVES to antagonize me... Sugarplum isn't with us anymore. :( I miss antagonizing him. Other then that not much else has changed. Tilly has her own page now. Feel free to had her. She's a good lil bugger.. Hi there, we know that we have been gone a long time, at least it seems long to us. We have kind of been spending way too much time on Pikapet instead of being here writing to all our friends. We told Momma to get us back on here so we could say we are sorry, and we won't stay gone so long any more! We miss all our friends here a lot when we are away. We hope you are having a great week! HI guys, I was funny this morning. My mommy's mommy was getting ready for work today. One of the things she does in the morning is feed the local feral cat. Every morning she goes outside to leave him some food. Today, I decided that i was going to be brave again and venture downstairs. I thought since I heard a human bean that I might even find some food. I DID!!!! I happened to come downstairs EXACTLY when the bean opened the front door, and ZOOM... I was out the door and into the food before she even knew I was there! I thought it was both brave AND fun, but she got mad at me. hehehehehe
Happy first day of autumn to you, from all us Pets. We like playing in the leaves in the fall and we love playing in the snow in the winter, and we love the fresh air of spring and we love the lazy summer days! We just love it all! I guess we will take each season as it comes, though. Now it is Pumpkin season! Pumpkins are great to look at. I suppose we will have to start looking for one to decorate our deck up for the season. Hi there, This is me, Sophie in the spotlight for a while on our page. Keesie, my sister Keeshond, has been hogging the profile AND the computer for long enough. Everything here has always been Keesie, Keesie, Keesie, so we other Pets got together and got a petition up, signed with paw prints by all us Pets and presented it to the Human in Charge (Momma)and she agreed that it was about time for Lady Keesie to step down from her high and mighty throne and defer to us Pets, for a while, anyway. So, now you see me, Sophie, in the default pic and we Pets will be ALL taking turns from time to time. So when you see a different Pet Pic on here, don't delete us, we are still the same lots_of_pets that we were before. As to the question presented to us about bathtime around here....yes, it does seem to happen a lot....nearly every week for some unfortunate Pet (except for Little Bit who being mainly an outside cat has managed to escape the throes of bathtime all her life). Sam, who has the skin problem gets one about every week with medicated shampoo, even if he isn't dirty....it is just a way of life for him, and he is getting much more co-operative about it. Me and Keesie, and B.J., have to undergo the bathtime escapades about once a month, and I must admit, I am the one who puts on the best show for all to see! A real spectacle! I have had six years of practice and I have learned about every trick in the book to get away from Momma and the garden hose! As for Keesie and B.J the Himalayan....they go quietly without a battle, I even think those crazy Pets ENJOY bathtime. Well that's about it for today. Hi, this is the first day that we have been able to send out Hello's to our friends in a while. Momma has been busy taking care of things around here. Poppa's brother (our uncle) passed away this past week so we had to wait until things got calmed down. We missed all of you pet friends and hope that we won't be away so long anymore. We had another fun episode today getting to watch Sam get his bath. He is a character when he gets wet, shaking and splashing water everywhere, but he did a lot better than usual this time. We Pets think he is starting to give up the fight and just accept the fact that he is getting a bath, no matter what he does. Now, if Sophie would be good about it, Momma would have it made! I (Keesie) am always good at bath time, but it wasn't my turn today! The weather is cooler and we are having a lot of fun outside for now. Have a great weekend! Hi, We are hoping to get settled back into our routine with lots of computer time now. Momma has been too busy for a few days to let us talk to our friends.
