Samson's two favorite things in the world were eating and sleeping, in that order, followed by having his butt scratched as a distant third. I had him for 10 years, which is a pretty good age for a bully - they only live about 8 to 10 years anyway.

Samson liked to boat, and could swim if we put a life vest on him. We had to make sure he didn't capsize though. He never did learn to waterski! (See pictures.)

He was "adopted" from Merryfield Kennels (for $1,500!) as a puppy. One of my friends had a bully and I totally fell in love with the breed. I am still very much a bulldog fancier.

The very first thing he did was pee in my car on the way home. He was a real pain to housebreak! I will be using this space to post more about Samson and about English Bullies as a breed.

His AKC registered name was Handsome Samson Sourmug.
