Peg Leg Was born with both feet. As he got older one leg started to turn black and it kept rising up his leg. Finally his owner took him to a vet and he had to have it amputated (not sure why). The black stopped and he got his name
Peg Leg shortly afterwards. His previous owner let him out one day to fly around and he landed on a larger birds cage. The larger bird bit half of all his toes off. So poor
Peg Has half a leg and a full leg with half toes on it.
I use to work at a pet store and that's where I got
Percey. She was this skinny little bird that no one wanted to play with. I finally stuck my hand in one day and she stepped up. After that I played with her everyday until I finally brought her home. Both my tiels got along great. Something happened in the family last year (Oct.'06, I'd rather not explain) and I couldn't stand to look at my birds. So I decided to give them to
Peg's Oringinal owner. At the begining of Feb.'07 I started to really miss them so I stopped by for a visit. I found out that
Percey had cut her leg and litterally chewed it to nothing. The next day she had the whole thing amputated off. It healed very nicely.
Now both my little guys are back home. Healthy and Fat. I'll never let them go again. Those are my Handicap Tiels
