Although,

Bonita's page will be a memoir and I will not edit.

Other news I'm thinking about getting another rabbit...

Should I?

Keesie is very right. It helps to get another pet just not one that looks the same as Bonita. that way your not replacing Bonita with a bunny that looks the same but adding another bunny to your family that looks and acts different and is special just like Bonita was.

Bonita was a pretty bunny and I know if you decide to get another bunny it will be as well.

Mom said it was very difficult for her when both her Yorkie guys went to the Bridge within 1 year. She was very unhappy not having a doggy in the house so she started looking for one. She found ME on petfinder. She says I'm different from her other Yorkie guys. No matter what your new bunny looks like, it will be a different bunny. Maybe, as others have said, get one that does look a little different from Bonita. She will be watching over you, too, and the newest member of your family. It is so obvious that you loved her very much!

Keesie is right. You should get a different looking bunny. Mom has had tuxedos all her life and she gets mixed up with Gizmo and Giz, but she recently remembered that Giz had a white lower lip. And I go 100% with you getting a different bunny, it helps a lot. And I would try to find a vet that answers the phone like BigWurm said

Lots of love,

I would start calling vets now and get a cell phone number to one who will take emergency calls. Momma has had to call them in after business hours before, so you just need to find one that takes the job seriously and leaves their phone on.

We will think about you and Bonita

Sometimes it helps to get another pet, but maybe I would get one that looked altogether different from Bonita, so he would have his very own special identity.  When we lost our Boston Terrior eleven years ago we went out one week later and bought Keesie, a Keeshond.  She made a special place in our home and hearts, but still the Boston had her own special place in our hearts, and always will.  Having another rabbit to love would probably be a good thing for you to do.
