My Mom and Dad have been telling me tonight that I am getting a new brother tomorrow. I am so confused. They say he is at the vet's office to get shots and a bath before he can come to live in our house (Mommy & Daddy want to make sure he doesn't get us sick...he is a rescue from a shelter). I know Mom and Dad love me, but I am afraid things will be different when Scout moves in. What can I tell my parents to do to help me and Scout get along with each other? He is about two years old, a beagle/foxhound mix.
. I am so mad that whoever had him before didn't give him the heartworm preventatives to keep him healthy. Now Mommy and Daddy have to pay alot of money to make Scout feel better. Mommy is going to sell some things and Daddy is going to work on the holidays to pay for the treatment. Scout is in the hospital now, but hopefully he can come home in a few days. I got to meet him yesterday at daycare, and we had fun playing together. I think we will be really good friends once he is feeling better.
