Hi Friends! I have not forgotten about you, I've just been super busy!! I'm sorry I haven't been able to leave comments lately. Mommy has been busy with Dogs Deserve Better and moving so she hasn't had time to help me get online. Guess what! I'm starting obedience school this weekend!! I'm excited. Also, Mommy says I may be getting a sister!! Her name is Harley and she is a Schnauzer/Boston Terrier mix. Mommy's meeting her tonight. I'm so excited I can hardly stand it!

Well, I hope everyone is happy, healthy and staying cool. It's almost fall. Yippee!!

I'm so proud of my mommy! She is the new Kansas City area rep for Dogs Deserve Better!!! She's excited about the opportunity to help all the sad doggies in our city who are stuck on chains and in pens.

Ooooof! It's been a tough weekend. I was neutered on Saturday and have been a bit groggy ever since. I was just a little lump of tired puppy Saturday, then Sunday I was a little better. I slept a lot all weekend and didn't bark once. Mommy cried when she picked me up after the surgery because I just didn't look like myself. She was very worried but the vet said I was doing A-okay! Mommy just worries about me a lot. So we snuggled all weekend! I still can't go up the stairs or jump on the furniture. Mommy has to carry me up the stairs and lift me up on the couch and bed. I think by today I'll be back to my usual self. I woke up pretty energized this morning.

My heart goes out to all of you who are going to be neutered or spayed soon. It's a tough thing, but we have to do it!

Hello friends! This is Scamp's mom. I was wondering if anyone has the same problem I do:

Scamp has become very talkative, especially in the morning... 5 o'clock in the morning to be exact. He barks to wake me up, and then he continues to bark until we go outside for our morning walk. The rest of the day he has an "indoor voice", which is fine- it's just a quite "rrruff"- like he's talking, but in the morning it's like he's screaming! I've tried everything from water bottles to ignoring to warning him with a rolled up newspaper. What else is there?!!?? I know that he's probably bored, but he has plenty of toys to keep him occupied. I know that he'd rather have me up and playing with him (it's my fault that I've spoiled him.) And it doesn't matter when we go to bed either- it's the same time every morning.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd appreciate any advice that the pet moms and dads have on this issue.
