Okay, everyone, this is very serious and I need some advice especially from the pits...okay, here goes.

Me and Mom and Dad live in a condominium community. There are three courts "distinct areas"...just sorta giving a picture here. Our court is shaped like a square with a grassy area in the middle where people park on either side and the mailboxes are also located there. The condos line the outside areas of this court with several buildings of 5-8 units in each building. The sidewalks go all around the area and last week when mom and I were out for a walk ... well, we had gone all the way down to the end of the sidewalk on our side of the court and had gotten about half way up the next side when a dog that lived in the unit on the end of the sidewalk we had just finished walking burst out of its house and attacked me.  I was well past its house, walking on a lease very nicely with mom and we were totally minding our own business.  Fortunately, I was able to get out without any injuries cause when my hair is long if someone grabs me, they usually get more hair than flesh. But mom was terrified and frankly so was I.  I had never seen this dog before. Didn't know him at all.  Well, mom found out today from a neighbor who lived right where I was attacked that this wasn't the first time. She ws coming home one day with her grandbaby and Mr. B. He is a very old doxie and wouldnt hurt a fly. A very nice gentleman,  Well, the lady was just opening her door and the dog came flying up her stairs and attacked her and the baby,. She was able to push Mr. B inside with her foot before he got to him cause he would have killed him for sure. And she was terrified the dog would hurt the baby. She told mom that the dog had come out like that several other times. There is also a lady who lives next door to the dog with a toddler granddaughter that she walks on the sidewalk.  We are all very worried and concerned but not wanting to lay this on the breed cause I dont believe in that and have lots of dog friends that are friendly and kind that are pits and mixed pits we are looking for answers.  Why do some dogs attack like this for no reason and what can we do to make sure the small animals and small children and elderly people who live here are safe from its attacks? Please help us. We don't want to have to call the animal police and say another pitbull is attacking people for no reason. Is this going to continue? Is this dog really dangerous? Thanks for any help you can give us.  Sunny..

Nose in every hole
Black as a piece of Cole
A Dog and his role

You have a working Dog,
strong lower jaw
and you have a Watch Dog
a Rolex on every paw

A Dog who helps mankind
that is the one who leads the blind,
also finds people beneath the earth
and he-she is every pound worth

I guess we have seen them,
at the airport
The Gangsters and Smugglers
these dogs sort!

Then you have the Friend
the one that sits by your feet
they'll do this until the end,
and are ever so sweet

A Dog is a Bless
We all love a Dog
Dogs Love us
Dog reversed is God
