So, this weekend our furry friend, Truman, the Jack Russel, came over to visit. His mommy and daddy needed to have a special getaway weekend, so Truman got to come over and play at our house for two whole days! It was great fun. We went to the state park down the road and played in the river and went for a long walk. Then we were all tuckered out, so we went home, had our baths, and went to bed. The next day we got to go another walk. This time we just got to go to the city park, but it was still fun... Although, the weekend did have a bit of sad ending. When we got home from the park, we discovered that our old friend, the red gourami had died. We will miss him (especially Martin, he loved to sit and watch him swim). May he rest in peace.

Bailey's First Trip to the Vet

Bailey went to the vet for the first time. The vet said he looked very good. But, she gave him a shot that he didn't like because he's got some respiratory problems that are starting up, probably due to spending so much time in the shelter. On the bright side, that was the only thing wrong with him.

Bailey and Martin are getting along better now too. They used to not get along so well. In fact, in the beginning, they would just hiss and growl at each other. But now, they tolerate each other well enough that they are willing to sit on opposite ends of the bed, if its for good reason, like to receive petting.

So, Bailey has moved in with us. Yay. Today he met the neighbor's dog. They had a fun playdate.
