Peaches is a beagle with just a tad bit of basset hound in her. She was a stray, I saw her run down my driveway one evening, and my little cousin ran to see her, and I got there before he got ahold of her. I grabbed her and wasn't going to let her down. She was so small, and her belly was swolen from lack of nutrition, and had red marks all over it, And she was so dirty, and she had mange terribly. She was shaking half to death because she was so scared. She was about six weeks old. I held on to her for abut 30 minutes, everywhere I went I took her with me, Until finally, my mom had no choice but to tell me to take her in the house, feed her and bathe her, and that there was no use of letting her die. So I did. She didn't have a name yet, And my mom came home and looked at her, and tried to get her to drink something, And she said "Here Peaches." I didn't like that name too well then, And that was before we even decided if we were going to keep her. When my dad came home, He wasn't too happy to see her. But My mom and I convinced him to let her 'stay for awhile.' So he did, And to this day, She's still with us. She's about eight months old now, And i've grown quite fond of her name, And I think it is just an adorable name. At first, Trixie and the rest of the animals didn't want anything to do with her. But now Trixie is her bestfriend, All the kittens sleep on her for warmth. And Rodeohh is her lover. Pretty soon, they'll have Blue heeler / Beagle puppies. She's has xenophobia, I'm not quite sure why, But I try each moment I can to show her that I will not hurt her, Nor will anyone else. She's warming up a bit, When she sees someone loving on Trixie, she runs up to get some of the attention also. About all the neighbors hate her because she gets into their garbage, and tears everything apart, and eats their animals food. They're too ignorant to realize that she's still a puppy. But Peaches is my little love, And I don't know what I'd do without her. <3
