My name is "ABBRA" and I was rescued from the Baldwin Park animal shelter in Baldwin Park, CA on December 21, 2006.... just 5 days before Christmas! And what a wonderful Christmas present I received!!
I was rescued by my mommy, who has told me must be referred to on my blog as "Mona Lisa", and ever since I have had all of the luxuries a doggie could ever want!
A little background on me...
I am a male Border Collie / Pomeranian mix. I was brought in as an owner surrender. My former owner told the shelter that I was animal aggressive and very difficult to handle, even though I was only 8 months old at the time of my surrender.
Mona Lisa tried to explain to me that some people don't have the patience for anything other than what is EASY and takes little effort. I guess that means that although I have been a little bit of a handful, I wasn't as nearly as bad as the owner tried to make me look. In fact, Mona Lisa's nick name for me is "Little Man", because I have been so mannerable and an absolute trooper in adapting to my new environment.
Anywayz, I'm safe and sound now, living it up in beautiful Southern California! I have lots of plans for this wonderful blog, beginning with sharing tons of useful information, websites and articles that other pets and their owners (especially rescued pets) will find helpful all over the world!
